A New Model for Continuously Running Letters in Reliability

Starting from 2013, the Reliability Society has made a strategic decision to transition its formerly published Annual Technology Report, in general appearing at the end of each year, to a continuously running-based Letters in Reliability that would be featured in the Society's Quarterly Newsletter which has February, May, August, and November issues.

The accepted range of topics includes recent innovations, advancements, and emerging research with respect to reliability and assurance, as well as experience reports, case studies, newly-developed or revisited techniques and methodologies, or fresh insights and recommendations. Of special interest are any articles in the fields of system, software, or hardware/device reliability, PHM (Prognostics and Health Management), security, trust, safety, human-system interactions, maintainability, or supportability. Technical papers will also be welcomed that present reports of lessons learned related to past reliability trends and events, as well as those that address the areas of disaster and risk mitigation, cloud computing, smartphone applications, and Internet of Things.

Submissions should follow the standard IEEE one-column format. Although there is no page limit, articles should be written clearly and concisely on a focused subject.

Each submission will only be lightly reviewed to ensure a fast turnaround between submission and acceptance.
